Our Items
I am currently focusing on baking treats like mamon, mocha cake, suman, palitaw, bibingka, cassava cakes, kutsinta. The mamon is my staple and, until my ube is ready to dig up, I’m using non-GMO or organic sweet potatoes.
I also sell my handmade tapioca pearls AKA boba AKA the spheres of happiness that you drop in your tea or ginataang. They are made from organic tapioca flour and water, and sweetened with either organic sugar, local honey, or local maple syrup.
As far as being authentic, my mom immigrated here from the Philippines and so my food is what I grew up eating. This is authentic to me and my family, and all families are different. Sometimes, it’s as authentic as me: My mom didn’t teach me to make mamon. I learned it myself because I love it so much.
I also have items for sale like the binakol masks from Objects + Offerings, whose owner is an Ann Arbor native. She’s dope as hell.
I hope you enjoy it, and if you don’t that’s cool, too. I appreciate that you even took time to read this.
